    How To Style:

    1. After shampooing and condioning hair with sulfate-free color products, apply a smoothing cream.
    2. Blow dry hair using a flat or paddle brush.
    3. Smooth hair using a flat iron set at the lowest heat setting for your hair type.
    4. Finish the look with a drop of oil. Rub it in your hands before you apply it, starting at your ends.

    Recommended Products:

Bright hair color can fade quickly. Try Pravana’s color enhancing treatment in Copper.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

Heart and diamond face shapes wear this look well, while hair that is medium in thickness and naturally straight to wavy is best for recreating this bold style.

    Tip:

Make sure to turn your flat iron down. High heat is a major contributor to color loss!

    4. When you get behind the opposite ear, add the last bit of hair and finish your braid. Secure with elastic.
    5. If you want an imperfect braid, use your fingers to tug softly at the braid, loosening areas as needed.
    6. Finish with hairspray.

    Recommended Products:

A light hairspray that allows you to layer the hold is great when creating braids. My favorite is Super Shape by Pravana.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

Any face shapes can wear this braided look, while hair that is long enough to braid and is medium to thick creates beautiful braids.

    Tip:

Not the best at braiding? No problem! Practice makes perfect. Search YouTube for easy videos and you’ll have it down in no time.

    2. Blow dry hair with a medium to large round brush (depending on hair length).
    3. Section hair into three sections, one section in front of each ear and one in the back. Keep a two-inch section out and clip the remaining hair out of the way.

    5. Let the curls cool, then brush through with a wide tooth comb.
    6. Finish with a small amount of smoothing cream.

    Recommended Products:

Keeping brown hair color rich and shiny is as easy as a weekly conditioning treatment. Try Pravana’s Coco Brunette in the Color Enhancers treatments.

    How To Style:

    1. Work a medium hold gel through damp hair.
    2. Blow dry with a medium-sized round brush.
    3. Use a 1 1\2-inch curling iron and curl hair in medium-sized sections from midlength down.
    4. Let curls cool completely, then flip head over and shake out using fingers.
    5. Finish with your favorite hairspray.

    Recommended Products:

A great gel for soft hold and no stickiness is Biolage Agave Nectar Gel.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

Heart, round and diamond face shapes wear this wavy style well. Hair that is medium to thick in density and naturally wavy or straight make recreating this style easiest.

    Tip:

  • #5 Blonde Lob

    Written by Sarah Nitz

The long bob is great on so many different beauties! It’s easy to style and can be worn casual or dressed up.

    How To Style:

    1. While hair is still damp, apply a thickening cream or mousse. Comb through to ensure it is evenly applied from roots to ends.
    2. Blow dry hair in sections, pinning hair that is not being dried out of the way using clips.
    3. Bring sections down and smooth with a large round brush as you dry.
    4. If desired, finish this style with a flat iron set at the lowest heat setting for your hair type.

    Recommended Products:

For finer hair, a volumizing product is a must. There are both creams and mousses, and it’s up to personal preference on what is best for you. My favorite cream to add volume is Kevin Murphy Full Again and Pravana NEVO Full Again is my favorite mousse.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

Diamond, heart and round faces wear this style well.  Hair that is finer in texture and thickness will achieve this look easily.

    Tip:

To dress up this look, try adding loose curls with a 1-inch iron or curling wand. Paired with a sparkly clip or head band, this look will fit right into any evening event.

  • #6 Copper Curls

A little wild, but totally beautiful, these mid-length highlighted copper curls will draw attention everywhere you go!

    How To Style:

    1. Apply a volumizing mousse to damp hair.
    2. Blow dry hair using a diffuser. Set the blow dryer on highest heat setting, but lowest force.
    3. Once dry, use a 1 to 1½-inch curling iron or wand to wrap hair away from face.
    4. Finish your look with a hard hold hairspray to keep curls from falling in your face.

    Recommended Products:

Pravana’s Super Shape Hairspray Extreme will keep hair in place all day (even through high winds), but is easy to wash out. It never gets sticky or builds up either!

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

Diamond, oval, and heart shaped faces wear this well. Hair that is naturally curly makes it easiest to style, but straight to wavy hair that is medium to thick can work too.

    Tip:

To make your straight hair easier to achieve curly looks, you may consider getting a perm. They are making a comeback and many stylists are experimenting with them to create natural looking curls. Check out stylists focusing on perms by searching with hashtags for your city and messaging them on Facebook or Instagram.

    4. Using your favorite hairspray, mist over entire head and piece out and separate layers.
    5. Finish off with your favorite shine spray.

What’s my favorite hairspray? Pravana’s Super Shape! Use a fine mist for a soft and brushable hold, or layer to intensify the hold factor. It never builds up on your hair and washes right out.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type:

The best face shapes for this easy and soft style are oval, diamond or heart. Hair that is medium to thick in texture and straight makes styling a breeze.

    Tip:

    Written by Irene Bredthauer

These thick, dramatic bangs make a bold statement and contrast beautifully with the medium length waves.

    2. Use a 1-inch curling iron to curl the length of the rest of the hair.
    3. Use your fingers to brush through strands and break up the curl a little bit.
