I know it seems like I either wear a lot of dresses or cut off shorts — one extreme or the other — but I actually wear jeans quite a bit. I have a few pairs that are my go-tos, and these skinny jeans with a 10″ rise from Madewell are my current favorite. I wear them a lot. I love the rise, the fit (they have a nice stretch), and the fact that they are so comfortable. I prefer a higher rise, because I hate that muffin top that I get with lower rises. But the problem is that a lot of jeans end up having a big gap in the back if they fit me everywhere else (aka don’t flatten out my butt), which is kind of weird because my waist isn’t very small. I kind of hate shopping for denim, so once I find a pair that works for me, I become quite the loyalist. If you’re wondering about some of my other favorites, it’s another pair of Madewell distressed jeans (9″ rise), my baggy vintage Levis that I found at a thrift store, and my 7FAM Josefinas (mine are distressed and super worn in because I’ve had them for years). I would put my AG 360 stretch jeans in there, but I somehow LOST them. How does one lose jeans? My guess is that someone at the cleaners has a mystery pair of jeans in their laundry bag…yet another reason why I wish I had my own washer and dryer:)
