Wavy Light Brown Hair with Champagne Blonde Highlights

How would you describe this look?

This is a timeless bronde balayage. It’s on trend, but not too trendy that it will be out of style by next season. It has multiple tones that turn a solid brown into something more exciting. The cut is the perfect length for all styles.

With a cut like this, you can wear it straight, curled, braided, or natural. My favorite style for this color is a nice bouncy wave. Curls will showcase all the colors throughout the hair while wearing it straight hides some of the dimension.

Any advice for someone considering it?

I would suggest this color for people who are a natural brunette and want a low maintenance upkeep. The initial appointment will be a bit longer and more pricey but it will pay off in the long run because you can easily go 6+ months without needing to get it lightened again.

The at-home care for an ash blonde like this would require a violet shampoo to keep the blonde from turning yellow.

Light Chocolate Brown Hair with Silver Highlights

How would you describe this look?

This hairstyle is very simple. Half of the hair is natural brown, a number 5. I used the top section, side sections, and back (temporal bone) for highlights with 40 developer.

After lifting the hair, I used toner 8SM by Kenra Guy Tang for 10 minutes, washed twice with Fanola purple shampoo, and then styled with Moroccan oil serum.

Any advice for someone considering it?

As a hairstylist, I think it is better to have at least a little bit of your natural hair color when you mix with highlights. Styling with waves or straightened will make your hair look more natural.
