14 Stunning Quinceanera Hairstyles to Consider

A quinceanera hairstyle is any hairdo worn on a girl’s 15th birthday that is traditionally celebrated in Spanish and Latin American countries. On this important day, a girl’s entry into womanhood is celebrated by family and friends and introduced to society through a fancy party with gorgeous dresses and dances!

The birthday girl will definitely be the center of attention, and this is why it should be top priority to style her hair perfectly – anything less than this would be totally unacceptable!

It might be overwhelming at first because the choices are literally overflowing, but a few basic things to consider are the hair type, the gown and jewelry, and, of course, the personality. You would want to showcase the best side of yourself with a fitting hairstyle that will give you the confidence to conquer your big event!

Curls are a common sight but there are lots of ways to own this style uniquely – buns, accessories, braids, and up-dos are only some. IG-famous hairstylist Rosita Rodriguez displays a number of exclusive ways to wear your hair using crowns and waves and other modern hairstyling techniques!

Below, I’ve gathered only the latest and most fabulous quinceanera hairstyles to get you going on your journey to womanhood! You go, girl!

Loose Braids

How would you describe this look?

This is a boho style could be worn for an everyday look as well as special events.

Any advice for someone considering it?

This style is meant to look effortless and tousled. This is a style that you can do on yourself using texturizing powder, one bobby pin, 3 elastics, and a hot tool whether you prefer a curling iron or flat iron to curl. Section your hair in 4 sections separating the top and creating two large braids.

Place texturizing powder on the braid and pull as loose and you would like. The more you pull the more boho effect you will create. Secure the braids with an elastic on the end of both braids and intertwine the braids and secure with a bobby pin. Comb out the remaining curls with a wide tooth comb.

Cute Half Up Half Down

How would you describe this look?

This look can be described as a soft, modern romance that seems effortless in nature with an overall bohemian feel. My favorite aspect of this hairstyle is that the twists offer detail while the overall vibe remains whimsical and unstructured.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Luckily, this is one of those styles that suit most hair types and lengths. I would recommend however that you have layers cut in your hair to ensure volume and texture throughout the style and framed around the face for softness. If your hair is particularly fine, I would recommend installing a set of clip in hair extensions for extra volume and to hold the waves throughout the day. A sea salt spray and texture spray must be used in conjunction to ensure the finish is separated and undone in nature.

Updo for Wavy Hair

How would you describe this look?

One thing I love about these messy braided updos is how effortless this look is but classy enough by adding a beautiful pulled out braid. My favorite thing will definitely be all the texture on the updo.

Any advice for someone considering it?

I definitely always recommend a hair trial, especially for clients who are not used having their hair completely up. I love to leave just a little bit of the fringe area, so my client still feels comfortable by having some hair left out framing the face. This look is perfect for any type of hair since it is a versatile look. Great for bridal parties, quinceaneras, or any special occasions.

Simple Ponytail with Curls

How would you describe this look?

This look is a look that is versatile. You can wear it for all formal occasions – prom, weddings, and quince too. It’s definitely a unique style that stands out and shows great detail.

Any advice for someone considering it?

The only advice I would give to any client wanting this look is to make sure your hair is long enough sometimes when you start curling the hair and pinning it can get thinner and not look as full. If your hair isn’t thick and long I definitely recommend extensions.
