Haunted Mansion: Madame Leota https://ift.tt/3eaTT7F

Serpents and spiders, tail of a rat, call in the spirits, wherever they’re at!

Rap on a table — it’s time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond…

Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween, awaken the spirits with your tambourine!

Creepies and crawlies, toads in a pond, let there be music from regions beyond!

Wizards and witches, wherever you dwell, give us a hint, by ringing a bell!

For my final portrait in the Disney Haunted Mansion series, I brought Madame Leota to (after?)life. This is one of my new favorite Halloween costumes! The whole thing is a wearable costume — we made a table out of cardboard (with a hole for my head) that rested on my shoulders, covered it in a tablecloth, and used an acrylic globe for the crystal ball. We widened the neck opening with a Dremel-like tool. The second photo is a composite of the table and me standing against the black backdrop, but the first one — save for the outer glow — is all practical effects.

I’ll be posting videos on my instagram, including behind the scenes, so make sure to check those out!
